Asking for a double piercing?

Alrighty, well last night I asked my mom if I could get my ears double pierced. I got my ears pierced when I was 9 or 10. I'm now 14. I want to get them pierced again, just on the lobes. Not like a cartilage piercing or anything. Anyways, my mom got kind of quiet(she seems to be against multiple piercings). I don't have any other piercings. She said that they were my ears and that I would have to ask my dad if it was okay to double pierce them. Well, problem is, I don't know how to ask my dad. I feel that he'll think me crazy and say no. I've really wanted to get my ears double pierced for a few months and only recently gathered up courage to ask my mom. I think double ear piercings look really cute and kind of edgey. Anyone know how I can get my dad to definately say yes to letting me pierce my ears?
